‘Teachers want their status restored’ – Bridget Phillipson

Labour’s shadow education secretary Bridget Phillipson says retaining more teachers is the best recruitment strategy.

Speaking to Laura Kuenssberg Ms Phillipson said it would be compulsory for new teachers to have a formal teaching qualification and Labour’s plans would “restore the status of the profession”.
