A GCSE-equivalent course on climate change “makes you want to try harder” to minimise your own impact, according to a pupil.
Courtney-Ann, who is studying at St Colm’s High School in Dunmurry, County Antrim, said she was aware that she could make a difference in everyday life, such as how long she leaves the heating or lights on at home.
“It’s just the little things you could do to change a big part of the world,” she said.
During the course, pupils learn about biodiversity, climate campaigning and fast fashion.
Its first cohort are now halfway through their studies.
