Labour’s David Lammy has renewed his party’s calls for a general election, saying the UK needed certainty in “extraordinarily difficult times”.<\/p>\n

His comments came after the resignation of former PM Boris Johnson as an MP. Two other Conservative MPs also quit, meaning three by-elections will be held.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
