overnight.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-4\"><span data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-4.0\">On Thursday, Ratcliffe put in his second bid after <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/football\/65043304\" class=\"story-body__internal-link\" title=\"\" data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-4.$link-2\"><span data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-4.$link-2.0\">Wednesday&#8217;s confusion and extended deadline<\/span><\/a><span data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-4.3\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-5\"><span data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-5.0\">It followed Finnish entrepreneur Thomas Zilliacus stating he has submitted a bid to buy the Old Trafford club.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-6\"><span data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-6.0\">Zilliacus wants to buy half of the club with the other half bought by fans, who will be part of club decision-making.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-7\"><span data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-7.0\">On Saturday, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TZilliacus\/status\/1639528085522468865\" class=\"story-body__external-link\" title=\"\" data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-7.$link-2\"><span data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-7.$link-2.0\">Zilliacus claimed<\/span><span class=\"gs-u-ml- gel-icon\" style=\"height:15px;width:15px;\" data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-7.$link-2.1\"><svg viewbox=\"0 0 32 32\" data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-7.$link-2.1.0\"><title to enter their bids before the deadline was extended. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-9\"><span data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-9.0\">On Thursday, an Ineos spokesperson said: &#8220;Ratcliffe and Ineos can confirm we have submitted a revised bid.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-10\"><span data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-10.0\">The Glazer family, who bought Manchester United for \u00a3790m in 2005, announced they were considering selling the club in November.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-11\"><span data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-11.0\">The Americans have established a valuation of \u00a35-6bn for United.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-12\"><span data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-12.0\">Ineos wants to buy the combined Glazer shareholding of about 69%, but the Qataris are targeting 100% of the club.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-13\"><span data-reactid=\".m11rfpwky2.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-13.0\">Both sides met with United officials earlier in March.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"story-body__crosshead\"
